The training will take place in English and follows the approach below:
Day 1: 26 June 2024
- In Person Training on Horizon Europe Intelligence: Ideal for anyone irrespectively of their current experience, they want to understand the structure of Horizon Europe and the intelligence behind it and how they can exploit it as partners. Essential for potential partners in Horizon Europe proposals
Day 2: 27th June 2024
- In Person Training on Intelligent Networking For the first time, there is a course that focuses on practical steps and tools for identifying open calls and consortia for joining their project. The formula works 100%. The course will be completed with hands-on practice and one-to one sessions with each participant and the trainer for describing their profile and assets.
The course on Horizon Europe is organized specifically for participants from Israel that have no experience on European funding and you will have the opportunity to network with them also.
Key Purpose
Participants irrespectively of their current experience, they will master the whole Horizon Europe structure and mainly the three vertical pillars as well as their intelligence and learn also how to find relevant calls and consortia for joining their proposals
Learning Objectives and Structure
No matter what is your experience in European Research, you will achieve the following objectives for specific call(s) of your choice:
Day 1 Structure : Horizon Europe Intelligence
- Step 1/Module 1: Understanding the intelligence behind Horizon Europe based on its structure, key documents, fundamental concepts, the call topic structure and the pre-requisites for a successful grant application
- Step2/Module 2: Understanding how to be successful in Pillar I and Pillar 2 mainly as partner
- Step 3/Module 3: Understanding how to be successful in Pillar 3 mainly as partner
Day 2 Structure: Intelligent Networking
- Step 4/Module 4 – Profile Intelligence: Build your assets and add value to your profile as a small or big organization
- Step 5/ Module 5 – Contact Details Intelligence: Exploit public tools such as F& T portal, Cordis, Horizon Dashboard, Google, forms and social media for identifying contact details for potential proposal initiators
- Step 6/Module 6 – Communication Intelligence: Master techniques for engaging with identified potential proposal initiators
N.B.: In this hands-on practice course, we will show you how your organisation with or without any experience in Horizon Europe or in other European funding programmes can intelligently identify grant application actors in Horizon Europe (but also applicable in any other European funding programme) and convince them to join their consortia. The recipe works 100% and it is outside the normal channels (social media, partner search facilities, etc) for finding potential partners that do not work in practice.
Provisional Timetable
Day 1
- 09:00 till 13:30: Module 1, Module 2 and Module 3,
- After 13:30: Lunch and Cultural bonding with guided tour in Old Part of Athens/Plaka
Day 2
- 09:00 till 13:30: Module 4, Module 5 and Module 6
In order to facilitate networking with other successful actors in Horizon Europe, some externals may be invited in the training and/or in the lunch or cultural bonding activities with special emphasis of representatives from HEIs.
Venue
The training will take place in an inspiring venue at the centre of Athens close to a Metro station. Point 124, Kifisias 124, Athens (Nearest metro station: Panormou)

Places are limited for ensuring interaction.
Course Fee
The course fee for the whole two half days package is normally 1000 EUR plus VAT per participant but there is an early bird discount (of 70%) up to 7th June 2024 but the places are limited at this price and it will be on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, the early bird price per participant is just 300 EUR plus VAT.
The fee includes in addition to the training fee, the venue and the logistics (wifi, flipchart, training slides and notes, project and project wall, coffee breaks with light snacks during the training session) also the cultural bonding activities
